Part 2 You will create four paragraphs, one for each question below. Each response
must be in your own words and in complete sentences as well as include evidence from
the lesson.

How did General Douglas MacArthur react to the events in Korea?

What was his stance on the Korean War? He saw this as a challenge
and was very confident that he would be able to launch successful
attacks.
How did President Truman respond to the events in Korea? What was
his stance on the Korean War? He acted quickly and went to the
United Nations to decide on bringing another war. He was peeved at
General MacArthur for going against orders.
Which leader's actions were the most justifiableGeneral McArthur's
or President Truman's? Support your claim with evidence from the
lesson. I believe President Trumans actions to relieve McArthur from
duty was most justifiable because General MacArthur decided to
make promises he couldnt keep and lose soldiers over an
unnecessary battle. He was also disrespectful to the President and
didnt follow orders as a good general should.
Would the outcome of the Korean War have been different had
General MacArthur not been fired? Why or why not? Support your
claim with evidence from the lesson. I believe the outcome would
have been a lot different because based on the facts that he didnt
follow orders and decides to launch attacks without knowledge on our
enemies, we would have lost more soldiers if he decided to invade
another Communist country. It could have gone endlessly.
