CIRCULATORYSYSTEM
The circulatory system plays the most important

role in the transport of materials throughout the


body.It consists of Heart , Blood and the Blood
vessels.

THE HEART
The heart is situated in the thoracic chamber

between the lungs.it is surrounded by a tough


double walled membrane called pericardium
pericardium.Between the two pericardium
layers ,there is fluid called pericardial fluid, it
protect the heart from external shocks .

THE CHAMBERS OF THE HEART

BLOOD
Blood is a fluid tissue consists of plasma

and bloodcells.They are RBC,WBC and


platelets.The main function of RBC is to
transport respiratory gases.The WBC
provide immunity to the body.The Platelet is
essential for clotting of blood .

BLOOD VESSELS
The bloodvessels that carry blood from
the heart are called arteries and the blood
vessels that bring blood to the heart are
called veins.
