High Level Use Case


A high-level use case is a description of a service provided by a system to any one of a set of identified
actors. High-Level Use Cases are useful during project scoping to quickly determine the degree of
functional complexity of a project.

Each High-Level Use Case includes the following information:


1. Use Case Name (Verb Phrase)
2. System (name of system)
3. Actors (external to system, obtain value from the use case)
4. Type (primary, secondary, or optional)
5. Description (two or three sentences)

Glossary
It helps in reducing the potential ambiguities among business and project team and can be a first step for
any beginner to understand the terms used during the discussion.
