Inspired by architects Inigo Jones, Christopher Wren, and James
Gibb
Arrived to America based on manuals called pattern books
around 1700
Popularity went downhill after Americas freedom was won
Blended with Neo-Palladian to form American Federal
Revived during Colonial Revival period
Today, is found in early American Colonies

Side-gabled, gambrel, or
