Cost of living in Stavanger

To give you an idea of the living expenses for a student in Norway, we have
put together a modest budget for one semester (all numbers are approximate).
The budget is calculated for a student living in a student room and who cooks
most of his/her meals in the dormitory kitchen, with the occasional lunch at
one of the canteen on campus. This student buys 1 - 2 textbooks per course
and has a rather modest clothing budget.
The amount of money you spend each month will of course vary depending on your personal
lifestyle and preferences, so you should take this into account when making your own budget.
