Using the CBR Motion Sensor Slope and Acceleration Investigation

The CBR can be used to gain position-time data for a moving object. Analysis of
position-time data can yield velocity and acceleration.
Your task is to use the CBR motion sensor to gain position-time data for a trolley
that is moving down a slope. This will involve the use of your TI-Nspire calculator,
combined with a piece of science specific equipment called the lab cradle. Once
you have captured the data you should import it to your computer (using the
student software provided by TI) and do some simple analysis involving Excel and
loggerPro.
Data Collection and Presentation
At the end of the investigation I want to see
-

Graphs of position, velocity and acceleration for one slope angle.

Graphs of acceleration against time for slopes of 3 different angles.

You can make some quantitative observations based on these graphs but we are not
going to do an in depth analysis. If the investigation has worked well the shape of
the graphs should be relatively simple.
Conclusion
How does changing the angle of the slope affect the acceleration of the trolley?
Can you explain this by referring to relevant scientific principles? [THIS COULD BE
TRICKY HINT RESOLVING FORCES]
