    WhatStudentsForLibertyendorsesaretheprinciplesthatcomprisethispoliticalphilosophy:

    2)Socialfreedomtochoosehowtoliveoneslifeand
    3)Intellectualandacademicfreedom.

    Howarewegoingtogoaboutpromotingthoseideasoncampus?Ourgoalistohaveaspeaker
    everymonthoftheschoolyeartotalkaboutacertaintopicsuchastheroleofgovernmentin
    oursociety,legalizationofdrugs,samesexmarriage,immigration,philosophicalprinciplesetc.
    Eachtalkwillbegivenbyanexpertinthatparticulartopicunderalibertarianperspective
    followedbydiscussionsandanonlinearticle,writtenbyoneofourmembers,aboutthat
    particulartalk.Oncewearemoreestablishedwealsointendtoorganizepoliticaldebateswith
    theliberal,conservativeandcommunistclubsatUBC,addinganewperspectivetothecurrent
    politicalscenario.

    Althoughsomeofourconcernsmaybesharedbyotherspoliticalclubssuchasfreemarket
    economics(conservativeclub)andlegalizationofmarijuana(liberalclub),noneofthecurrent
    clubsareabletojustifythosepositionsthroughacomprehensivephilosophyofliberty
    (libertarianism).ThuswebelievethatwithcreationofStudentsforLiberty,UBCwillgainanew
    politicalperspectivethatwillcontributetotheancientideaofauniversityasaspaceofdiverse
    andchallengingideas.
