This week we are starting Unit 2
-Week 2, Ronald Morgan... in
our Reading Street book.
Thanks to all the volunteers that helped with the
pumpkin activities. The students really enjoyed it!
On Thursday a 2nd grade Reading Marathon. Students can bring their favorite books to read and
share with friends. Students can also bring a
stuffed animal and pillow to get comfy for the
day! Each class will have reading activities
throughout the day. If you would like to send in
special snacks for this day, please let me know.

Specials Schedule
Day 1 - Art
Day 2 - Music
Day 3 - PE
Day 4 - HN

Daily Schedule
Lunch 11:45-12:30
Specials - 8:55-9:40

Next week also begins the new quarter

(November 9th) and you and your child will set
their new Reading goal (for this quarter) based on
how much they read the first quarter. Self selected goals are a powerful tool that will enable
your child to take ownership of their learning.
They can tell you what their goal was and whether
they reached their goal or not and if not, how

many books they did read. Please send me an

email letting me know what your childs new
goal is.
