A. Course objective

The aim of the lecture is to explain the process of personal finance management and possibilities offered by financial
market for households. The main point will be focused on the management of daily, monthly and yearly finance of the
individuals including consumer income and expenditure, investments in banks, mutual funds, insurance companies, and
non-financial firms. The course highlights the main concepts, which are important for understanding how to become
better manager of personal finance, how to improve effectiveness of investments, how to get out of debt and how to be
better risk manager of personal finance. In addition students learn how to maintain checking and savings accounts,
create assessments in order to understand their financial standing and create a foundation for their financial standing.
Students learn how to live their dream by generating wealth and controlling spending, making sound investments in
stocks and bonds, and even begin starting and growing retirement accounts. During the course is used the educational
game by R. Kiyosaki "Cash Flow 101" and the board game "Charge large".
