Paracord Bracelet

1 2- S t ep I n s t r u c ti o n s

Imagine being lost in the wilds of the

mountains and you have minimal
resources to survive. Having a section
of rope on hand can help you construct
critical tools to get you through your
situation. Potential uses of paracord may
include: First Aid leg splint, Toolcraft
lashing a crude hatchet from rock and
stick, Ropecraft lashing a shelterand
the list goes on and on and on!!

SUPPLIES LIST: 8-10 Feet of Paracord

A lighter
3/8 Inch Buckle
Scissors
Paracord and buckles can be purchased at: www.jmcremps.com

[ Step 1 ]

[ Step 2 ]

If using one color paracord, cut a 8-10 foot piece

and melt each end with a lighter to prevent any
unraveling of rope. If you are creating dual colors
as shown in the photo, then fuse 2- four to five
foot pieces together by heating each end until
melting and press the two pieces into each other
(practice with scrap rope until you have figured
it out).

A Bring the midpoint of the rope through either

one of the buckles.
B Feed both of the tail ends through the loop.
C Pull on the tails until tight at the buckle and
make sure the fused section of the ropes is not
bulky.

Now, measure your wrist size by wrapping a

paracord (a little loosely) around wrist and
marking the spot where the ropes meet. Do not
have too tight a measurement as the finished
bracelet is stiff and will probably be too small.

Lay the rope with the marked spot against

a ruler and determine your wrist size (there is
about 1 foot of rope for every inch of your wrist).
B Bring the other buckle down the tail ends of
paracord leaving the length of your wrist size
between the buckles.

[ Step 5 ]

[ Step 6 ]

Now the fun begins. You have two choices for

color pattern in the example above. The middle
section of bracelet can be black with camo along
outer edges or vice versa (see step 1). View in
photo is the underside of bracelet.

The knot here is simple as the camo end goes

behind the double strand, crossing over top of
black strand; then loop black strand over top of
double strand and through camo loop on
opposite side.
B Finish this knot by simply pulling ends tight.

[ Step 7 ]

[ Step 8 ]

This step is just repeating Step 6, but in the opposite direction and again pulling snug.

Keep repeating the knot, switching back and

forth, and be sure to always tighten the same
amount each time and do not overtighten, as it
will become quite rigid.

[ Step 9 ]

[ Step 10 ]

Once you have made your way back to the fused

sections of rope, repeat the knot one more time
and it will cover up the fused area.

Cut each tail end of the ropes close to the

bracelet, leaving enough material to heat up and
melt to create a mushroom that will hold rope
ends in place.

[ Step 12 ]

Here is how the melted tips appear and be sure

they do not stick out where they will irritate the
wrist while wearing the paracord bracelet.

The finished projectafter making a few, youll be

able to complete one in about 5 minutes.
Now, get outside and go have an adventure
