Typically the female gender would be appealed to this genre of film, as the content
of the film contains supernatural horror, such as spooky ghosts, this may appeal to
women as it is not as violent and gory as per say other sub genres such as
slashers which men stereotypically would be more appealed to. Furthermore, the
film would normally appeal to young people between the mid-teens and young
adults; which would fit into demographic E, C2 and C1. Young middle aged adults
may be attracted to this movie as they may recognize the big star actors they may
even spend their social time watching movies with friends. In demographic C1 and
B, they may also be attracted to this movie as in their spare time horror films may
be a form of escapism for them, although teenagers may fall under the
psychographic mainstreamer, as many teenagers are usually up to date with
movies as they have more free time since they are unemployed. Social
Gratifications such as social interaction and escapism would appeal to them as a
student may have a bigger social life but may want to escape from all the work.
