Be able to use feedback gained to inform the development and planning


of an original audio-visual media product.
Task 1
Produce a written report outlining the feedback on the idea, the treatment, and
the sample materials. You need to consider the following:
Client feedback

strengths and weaknesses of each treatment


strengths and weaknesses of the sample materials
feasibility of the idea

Audience feedback

strengths and weaknesses of each treatment


strengths and weaknesses of the sample materials

Your chosen idea


Final choice which treatment will be the one that will be developed into the
music promo? Remember that you have to explain your choice clearly, making
reference to your client and audience feedback.
In response to this feedback which idea are you going to choose to make for the
promo and what changes are you going to make to ensure that you cater for the
needs of your target audience?
Task 2
Produce final copies of the treatment, storyboard and shooting script. The
changes should reflect the feedback that you received from your target audience
and your client.
You also need to explain where and when your final promo will be broadcast. You
need to have a clear launch date for the promo with reasons for the choice.
Task 3
Production Schedule
This needs to be a detailed plan of the whole production and should include:

Resources and equipment


Deadlines
Activities
Launch date for the promo.

You also need to allocate roles within the group and produce a list of the
equipment and props that are required for the production. This can be on an
additional sheet and attached to the back of the production schedule.
Task 4
Contingency Plan
Having planned your production you need to draw up a contingency plan for your
production. This must take into account any problems that you may encounter
during the making of the promo and it should outline how you intend to deal with
those problems. You will need to think about:

Locations
Actors
The production team
Equipment
The weather
Props
Timings

Task 5
The Budget
Outline a detailed budget for your production. You will need to take into account
the cost of:

Hiring of or buying equipment


Hiring a studio
Hiring actors
Paying the production team
Hiring editing equipment/studio

Task 6
Produce Location Recces for each of your locations. You will need to take
photographs for each of your locations and assess their suitability for the
production. You will also need to fill out a risk assessment form for when you are
out filming and when you are editing your promo.
Task 7
For this task you will need to outline the legal and ethical issues that you will
have to consider when making your music promo.

Royalties

Representational issues
