Diary (Film Shooting)

A.M.U.H Productions
First Meeting February 27 th

• Location: Cafe Terminal 5

• Discussion: So here we were at terminal 5 Heathrow, sitting at a
cafe in a right mood. The plan was to start recording today and get
the first 2 scenes done and out of the way. Little did we know we
were about be approached by security and told to stop filming as
we needed a permit. Everything came to a holt and we packed up
and headed to the cafe to have a sit down and re think our tactics
for how we were actually going to get around all this. From here
Humzah went to the main security unit in the building and picked
up a number to call for ‘General Media Permits’ as it was Saturday,
offices were closed, which meant shooting would be pout back 2
days maybe even 3 for the permit to fully process, it at least from
here we knew our plans and started to being planning our shots
once again.
Second Meeting March 2 nd

• Location: School Media Room

• Discussion: So a mere 3 days later and were ready to pick up the
permit and ready to start shooting. we discussed the plan for the days,
from when were going to meet up and head for terminal 5 and what time
roughly we were looking to finish. So we arrived at terminal 5 and start
setting up the equipment, the timing was key to us as it was around
1700hours that the sunset began to set which would give the prime
summer effect and eye catching scenery. We began to start shooting the
first scene and actually got hep form one of the BA member staff who was
perfect for a role in the scene. From here we shot the perfect media shots
such as match on action. On the whole when reflected back on the day it
was the most perfect shooting we could of asked for.
Third Meeting March 10th
• Location: School Media Room
• Discussion: after putting the recording we had done 7 days ago
on to the iMac, we realised there were a number of problems
with the lighting, quality and dialect used in the movie. This
was a set back but a clear eye opener of what we had to do to
make it perfect second time around. We sat down and drew up
a list of what scenes and shots had to be re done to make
everything look continuous and more suspenseful. We also got
tips from our teacher, of different shots we could use to gain
more marks and to show a contrast between things and scenes.
Now were ready for the second shooting for March 12th .
Fourth Meeting March 15 th

• Location: Mc Donald’s
• Discussion: Third time lucky? So once again there's
something wrong with the lighting and sound! So at this
point were exhausted and we do not want to film any
more. But the bottom line is we have to do it and get it
prefect, but you know what they say third time lucky
and it felt like we could do it this time and we had more
determination then ever! More because we were getting
sick of shooting than actually wanting to finish! So let
the third day of shooting come and hover over us.
