GOOD FOR ME . . TOO BAD ABOUT YOU!

Whew! I am glad that’s over. The Dems have completed their quest and the
windmill has been defeated. Health care issues are resolved and my expected
life span has been adjusted on the Insurance Companies actuarial. I can now
extend my retirement age for a decade or two, which will give my 401k more
time to resurrect. I am so relieved.

The discussions we have had in the office went nowhere and nothing was
agreed except that some health care reform bill would be signed into law. My
publicly declared liberal friend uses the debate tactic of subject switching. He
must have attended the same school as my first wife. He really is a closet
conservative but doesn’t understand the description enough to openly switch
sides in the argument.

My conservative friend has had some serious health issues and has struggled
to get coverage for his 23 year old son so he often practices fence straddling.

Actually we all three agree under the cover of patriotism that some health
care reform is necessary but fail to reach a consensus that cost is a
consideration. That identifies the primary reason that all 178 House
Republicans voted against the Bill and all but 34 Democrats voted in the
affirmative.

Politicians choose their party based upon certain ideals. Liberal thinking
considers most important the question as to how the Government can provide
for more than the “General welfare” of the populace. They believe Federal
Government programs should heal all social ills and costs be damned.
Conservatives believe in limited government and that individual freedoms
and the ingenuity of the free enterprise system is the cure for these same
ailments.

Therefore Liberals identify themselves in the current two party systems as

Democrats and Conservatives as Republicans. The result is the complete
polarization of the voting result of the Obamacare bill. The narrow vote of
219-212 reveals how uncertain the leaders of our Country about the validity
of the result this massive program will bring to us.

Will the rest of you get an automatic free ticket to a longer life expectancy like
I now have received or will you get a jail sentence for refusing to enroll in the
mandatory health insurance program? But don’t worry if you don’t cooperate.
When you are paroled I will be there to celebrate your release in my wheel
chair no matter how long your sentence. I will benefit from an extended life.
Too bad about you.
