The first party I will be going over is the NDP party, the NDP introduced universal
healthcare, and typically they want low taxes and high regulation. They’re what we’d
refer to as “big government” the NDP party has similar charcterstics to the liberal
party as they thrive to aim for fairness in specific sectors of there polices. The
Ontario pc is a center-right political party that focuses on lower taxes, balanced
budgets, deregulation, and lower government spending. Conservatives' beliefs and
policies can be described as money-driven, capitalist, and populist. The ontario pc
are about fairness but different views from how the NDP and Liberals see it For
Conservatives, fairness is apparently more about gaining or losing based on what
you do. If you make smart decisions you should be able to reap the rewards. If you
make poor decisions you should face consequences. Liberals believe that as well,
but apparently to a lesser extent. The liberal party is a political party that is focused
on the individuals in our country which is their beliefs that need the government to
use its power and resources to meet new social problems with new social control to
make sure that each and every Canadian has the right to there own economic life,
political life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. The green party is different from all
other 3 partys as the values for the green parties are Environmentalism,
nonviolence, social justice, participatory democracy, grassroots democracy, anti-war,
anti-racism, anti-capitalism, and eco-socialism are all values promoted by the party.

Like mentioning above the liberals and conservative are similar but in different
meaning for example one thing I think is worth mentioning is how each side
conceives of fairness. Essentially, Liberals see fairness as treating everyone equally.
They tie unequal outcomes to unequal chances, ie if one group is disproportionately
poor then they should receive more help to make things equal and as i mentioned
above depending on what you do conservatives believe you deserve things
accordingly for example doctors who save patients deserve to be more fortunate but
people who dont make smart decisions will be less fortunate. In my opinion i believe
liberals and NDP are very similar as i mentioned information about them above it
seems to me as they are both very big on making sure be equal is apart of our
society. for example taxes, The NDP party wants to raise income taxes for those
earning more than $220,000 aswell as In terms of corporate income taxes, the party
plans to raise the rate to 13%. The liberal party want to Increase corporate income
taxes on the wealthiest, most lucrative banks and insurance businesses with annual
revenues of more than $1 billion, Create a minimum tax rule so that everyone who
earns enough to qualify for the top bracket pays at least 15% each year.
Rules like such are aiming to make it more fair on the people the people who dont
have alot. I agree with these kind of policies as i grew up in a very low income family
where it was very difficult as taxes were always a pain when it was hard enough to
get food on the table, ive been a supporter of the NDP party for a little while now and
agree with the views they have. One things ive really liked about the NDP party is
the way they lookout for everyday people for example the housing market which has
made it almost impossible for low-income familys and people to purchase a home
but with the NDP promising to build 50;000 units for the citizens in order to make rent
and purchasing much easier aswell as stopping big companies and rich people from
purchasing propterts in order to raise prices on the citizens.

After speaking about the four political parties and doing more reaserch for this
opinion summary i have gained more knowledge about each of the parties along with
understood many more of the connections and differences many parties have from
eachother.
