Addition

The fractions should have the same denominator.

To add fractions, you should add the


numerators.

To check if two fractions are equivalent, we should


cross multiply. If the results are equals, the fractions
are equivalents.

Simplifying fractions

To simplify a fraction is to obtaing another fraction


by dividing the numerator and denominator into the
same number

Reducing into common denominator

Reduce fractions into common denominator is to


find equivalent fractions with the same denominator

The fraction of a number

To calculate the fraction of a number, we divide


this number by the denominator and multiply the
result by the numerator.
