Immunization is one way to make invulnerable in infants and children from
various diseases, child or infant is expected to grow in a healthy state. Basically,
the body already has it's own defenses to a variety of germs can be prevented
ynag entry, the body's defense includes defense-Specific and non-specific defenses
such as complement and macrophages is the first time would give a role when
there are germs that enter the body (Hidayat 2008 ).
This descriptive type of research to find a picture of the knowledge and attitude of
mothers towards complete basic immunization in infants in the West Langsa
Health Center in 2014, with a cros-sectional design. The research instrument
using a questionnaire developed by the researchers based on the study variables.
The population in this study is in this study were all mothers who have a baby> 9
months who visited the health center of West Langsa time of the study, the total
sample of 43 respondents sampling techniques by means of accidental sampling.
The study concluded the percentages indicate that there is a tendency among
mothers with the knowledge of the full basic immunization in infants in the West
Langsa health center and there is a tendency among mothers attitude to complete
basic immunization in infants in the West Langsa health center.
Researchers provide advice to health institutions to the development of programs
or activities that support the mother's knowledge of the immunization in children
to improve complete basic immunization coverage in infants.
