Remembering Understanding Applying Analyzing Evaluating Creating
Description of how to implement in the class:
The students will first be introduced to the project by looking at a sample graphic
from
Timeliner. The teacher will spend time explaining the timeline of a particular animals
life to
them using pictures and detailed, interesting, explanations. Then the students will log
onto the computer and do research on the animal of their choice that lives in the
area. As they research, they should choose no more than 4 points outlining their
animals life cycle. Then, they will be led by the teacher to find pictures that they can
use for each point. Once their research is done the teacher will walk the students
through putting the information into Timeliner. Once this is done each student will get
the chance to present their chosen animals lifecycle to the class.
Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): This is a level 2 because it is only
infused into their
lesson, but it is meant to be a precursor to more in depth study of how life cycles
affect them and
their lives.
Description of the sample BBPT file provided: The picture shows the data
collected about a
Tree and its life cycle, and integrates pictures within the graphic organizer as well. It
can be used
as a sample in class for the students to reference.
Other comments about your proposed BBPT Activity: This activity within
Timeliner was at an
introductory level and is meant to be built upon as the students progress through the
class.
