Come see the fabulous artwork 5th graders at Park Elementary created this week with artist in residence, Richard Jenkins. Acclaimed cartoonist, writer and illustrator, Richard Jenkins worked with the students all week integrating art and language arts. Students learned about ways to keep our air healthy and created Superheroes (and Villains) to combat the bad air days and pollutants in the air. The students chose super hero powers, titled their super heroes and created their own super hero characters. Their final drawings were then inked with markers and filled in with watercolor pencils. The students artwork will be reproduced and on display in the CVTD (Cache Valley Transit District) Buses later this year as part of the Art in Transit program.
