- Turn on some background music (could be kids' songs used later in the lesson). Pre-draws some animals on the
board.
- T welcomes kids and parents, says hi, gets hi-fives and shakes hands with each student coming into the classroom.
- Demonstrates the sticky ball throwing to the kids and encourages them to try. As for shy/intimidated kids, T talks to
them, shows them stickers/stuffed toys etc.
- Invites kids to put colored balls in a basket: Put the red ball into the basket. (with hand gesture what to do)

- Puts 2-3 hula hoops on the floor, T demonstrates by jumping from 1 hoop to another: Hop forward, forward,
backward, forward again, etc.
- Invites each pair of Ss (2 Ss hopping at the same time to save time and for more fun) to hop forward-backward a few
2-3 hula hoops
times.
- Variations: T can also jump to 1 hula hoop and count 1-5, then hop forward to the 2nd hoop and count from 6-10, or
ask Ss to hoop on one leg etc.

Has Ss stand in a line, T and TAs make a parallel line in front of the Ss. T says: Show me your right arm! and TAs and
T all show their right arms for Ss to copy. T goes to each S to correct if necessary. Practice more with: Left/Right arm,
L/R eye, L/R ear, L/R knee, L/R foot, L/R hand, L/R shoulder, etc. Repeat many times so that Ss have an idea and
start to follow instructions faster and more correctly.
