ACTIVITY 1 (5 MINUTES): WARM UP WITH A SONG + CHECK ATTENDANCE

– T has Ss stand in a circle (or two lines). T opens a YouTube video (link above) and asks Ss to
dance and sing along with the song.

- T calls out Ss’ names to check their attendance on LMS

ACTIVITY 2 (10 MINUTES): VOCABULARY REVIEW AND GAME: JUMP UP!

- T elicits the vocabulary items words by words and asks students to read aloud these words. T
asks some concept-check questions: what color is it? Do you like it? Do you have a …? (4
minutes)

- T hosts a game: “JUMP UP!”. T hangs 2 flashcards in 2 clothes pegs on a clothing rope (picture
below). T has 2 TAs keep two tips of the rope. Ss take turns to touch the flashcards. The game
continues when the TAs move the rope higher. Ss need to jump to touch the flashcards and say
the words. T also adds some flashcards with more clothes pegs.
ACTIVITY 3 (15 MINUTES): TEACHING GRAMMAR: “I’ve got a…”

- T asks Ss to listen to a song in a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FNki3cGhtg

- T elicits a new grammatical pattern: I’ve got a…(car/doll/kite….). T asks Ss to look at the slides
and read aloud the sentences.

- T lets Ss play a game “LUCKY WHEEL” (picture below). T invites Ss to throw a dice and read
the sentence with the corresponding toys. T then spins the wheel to decide Ss’ bonus.

ACTIVITY 4 (10 MINUTES): LESSON 3: TPR with a ball and a rope

- T elicits the new action phrases (throw the ball, look at the ball, throw the rope, catch the
ball…) and asks Ss to repeat chorally and individually.

- T asks Ss to act out an action and gives them stars by letting them choose a colorful stick in a
cup with stars on it. Ss can receive the bonuses corresponding to the stars on the stick (see
pictures below).

BREAK TIME: 5 MINUTES


ACTIVITY 5 (15 MINUTES): WORDBOOK CORRECTION

- T introduces Ss with their exercises in their WBs page 33 and 34 (see pictures below). Ss sit in
3 tables (4 Ss/ table). Ss do exercises 2 and 3 with the assitance from T and TAs. T takes care of
Ss in one table. TAs do the same with Ss in 2 other tables.

- Note that to save time, Ss just stick pictures (prepared by T beforehand) in their WBs and T
asks them T color the pictures at home.

ACTIVITY 6 (15 MINUTES): The Children’s day celebration event

- T opens the video and introduce about children’s roles in establishing new future.

- T introduces new words and distributes pictures for Ss to color.

- T asks Ss to come close to the board and take photos with TAs.

ACTIVITY 8 (5 MINUTES): FINAL REMINDER.

- T flips the flashcards one by one. T invites one Ss to ask: “what’s this?” and another to
answer.
- T sums up the stars and praises Ss with the highest points with 2 stickers, the others get
one.
