II. LESSON DEVELOPMENT

A: WARM-UP: (Timing: 4 minutes)

To show an online video (2 minutes). Then the teacher (T) will show a power point
presentation (ppt) and the students (ss) will have to recognize the objects on the screen with
the previous information gathered from the video. They will use “passing the ball” to take
turns randomly (another 2 minutes).
B: PROCEDURES (Timing: 23 minutes)

- T organizes the ss in pairs while putting pictures related to T-ss


the vocabulary on the board and write what they are bellow. ss-ss
Then asks the ss to connect each picture with their correct
word, having the help of their partners. (3 minutes)
- Ss open their books, and the T asks the pairs to take some T-ss
time to identify all the rooms, areas and items from the ss-ss
picture-chart in activity A. (2 minutes)
- With the previous information, ss make the possible T-ss
corrections of the activity done on the board. The T may help ss-ss
if they need it. (1 minute)
- T asks one ss to read the instructions from activity B, which T-ss
are: One ss cover the list of the items, and the other tries to ss-ss
identify them without the list, then exchange turns. (1 minute)
- T asks one ss to rephrase the instructions (check up) for the T-ss
whole class. + T presents more promps on Tv screen (1 ss-ss
minute)
- T asks one pair to give the first example to the whole class. (1 T-ss
minute) ss-ss
- T put the “stop watch” on the Tv before starting the activity. (2 T-ss
minutes for each student turn= 4 minutes)
- Ss do the activity (cover the list they have already read and ss-ss
try to identify the items by turns).
- One T monitorizes the activity by walking around and help ss-ss
when it's necessary. And the other T puts the ppt on screen,
which contains promps for the activity C.
- Finish activity B. Now the T presents the questions to the ss T-ss
and ask them (individually) to formulate answers for a new ss-ss
conversation in activity C, using the promps questions on
screen. (2 minutes)
- T asks ss to read their questions to their partners and then T-ss
exchange turns. (3 minutes per student with “stop watch”= 6 ss-ss
minutes).
- Feedback: T asks students to do a short writing on a piece of T-ss
sheet, describing their own houses/apartments using the ss-ss
previous vocabulary (2 minutes).
