Opening Routine: (10 Mins)

A routine activity that marks the beginning of the day’s class. A action Rhyme for the group greeting.

RFand RC (25 Mins)

Making the children familiar with the alphabet forms and sounds is the objective here. Kindly
introduce the alphabet and the letter sounds using the audio below.

Writing (25 mins)

Play a game in pairs where each child writes the form of an alphabet on the palm while the partner
closes their eyes. The second child has to guess the alphabet form. The children take turns with
writing and guessing.

S&L – Games and activities (25 Mins)

Passing the ball

The volunteer and the children form a circle and start passing the ball along with a question. The
person holding the ball answers the question and passes the ball to another person who is not
immediately to their left or right. The game has 3 rounds and each round is complete when every
member has asked and answered 2 times. Example:

Round 1: My name is Asha, What is your name?

Round 2: I am 6 years old, how old are you?

Round 3: I study in class 1. Which class do you study in?

Closing Routine: (10 Mins)
