Lesson plan- W3- UPSB

Objectives: revise time (o’clock/ half past) + daily routines+ phonics

Intro: (10 mins)

 Bags/H.W./ water bottles under the chair


 Hello/ head shoulders song
 Attendance- ask ss “What time do you go to bed every day?” – quick revision on time

Middle:

Revise telling time (10 mins)

- play an online game (divide ss into groups and they answer together- give points)

- use the wooden clocks (divide ss into pairs- A: asks: What’s the time? B: moves the hands and
says “it’s …… o’clock” (quite freer activity) (might need 5 extra mins)

Introduce daily routines

 TPR (5 mins): 1- T does the actions- ss repeat. 2- T says & does the action- ss repeat 3- Show
ss the pics- ss do and say the word. 4- nominate ss to do the actions- ss say the word.
 Check meaning (5 mins): fly swats or Simon says or nose/head game (point to the pic- and say
a wrong routine- ss put their hands on their heads- if it’s correct on their nose)
 Pron: point to the pic, ss shout the words- OR do the actions, ss shout the words
 Form (10 mins): ss write the routines on the sky-grass-mud template

Either give them the break here or after the controlled practice

 Controlled practice (7- 10 mins):


- play the dice game on the flipchart (use virtual dice for the kids to roll twice. The 1st number they
get is for the A box, the second number they get is for the B box. Kids then make a sentence
using the two numbers they get.
- OR the bomb or not game
 Freer practice (15 mins):
- Board game- print the sheet A3- ss roll the dice- they say I wake up at 7.30.

Introduce phonics (being very ambitious about the plan :D)

● We are going to compare between these different sounds

● Assign TPR for each sound. Ex. (lk – clap ) (im- stump your feet ) (lp- turn around) (lt – jump)

End (5 mins)

 give out H.W.


 clean up – ready to go home
