five twenty, five twenty-five, five forty, five forty-five, five
fifty, etc..
- It’s time to….( having lunch)…;delicious.
Introduction - Start with a warming up activity (a numbers game):

e.g. twenty-eight.
3. The first child to point to the correct number on the board
is the winner.
4. Repeat with other pairs of children.

- Then ask the children about what did you studied last
lesson (Numbers From 20 To 100), then write some
numbers on board (e.g. 84, 66, 49) and pick them
individually and ask them to read it, or ask some other
children to come to the board an write a number and read
it for the others.
- Repeat it 5 or 6 times.
- Then show them some pictures of clock’s that time is
shown on them in different ways, and ask them (What is
this? It’s a clock) then show them the numbers on the
clock and tell them that we use the numbers that we
studied in the previous lesson to read it like this on the
clock (for example show them a clock that is shown on it
10:30 and say: What time is it? It’s ten thirty).
- Repeat this for many times.
Presentation - Start with the first activity on page (11) St. book, stick
the poster on board and point and ask them Who are the
characters on the picture? (They will tell you the names)
then show them the dialogue and read it for them twice,
and explain it so they could understand, ask them some
questions such as Where are the characters on picture
one? …What are they doing in picture 4?.. and Is the girl
happy in picture 4?
- Play the CD track for the children so they can listen and
follow their books in silence.
- Play it again and ask the children to follow the speech
bubbles with their reading fingers.
Imitation - This time play the CD track twice and ask the children to
read after it (imitate it) chorally both times.
- Play the track again. Pause after every sentence and say;
Repeat. Children repeat the sentences chorally.
Sometimes pick them individually for this one.
Exercises - Ask the children to guess the meaning of Delicious.
Focus on the spelling and pronunciation of Delicious.
- Write it’s one thirty on the board. Draw a watch showing
1:30.
- Draw a watch showing 2:00. Help the children to say It’s
two o’clock and write it on the board.
- Draw a watch showing 2:30. Help the children to say It’s
two thirty and write it on board.
- Repeat with other times, such as 4:15, 5:30 and 6:45.
- Choose a child to read the first picture of the dialogue,
and then choose other children to read the other pictures.
- Say read in pairs. Children read aloud taking turns picture
by picture.
- Choose three children to act out the story in front of the
class.
Outcome - Ask the children to come to the board and write their
favorite time of the day on board (e.g. maybe It’s
sleeping time on 9:30 p.m., or It’s dinner time on 8:00
p.m.). Or ask them to tell or come to the board and write
about the time that they wake up, have lunch, doing their
homework, playing games and watching TV.
- These will help the teacher to know how much did they
understand the lesson and help them to correct their
mistakes or repeat the lesson briefly if necessary.
Homework - Ask the children to do the activities one, two and three on
their activity book page (13), explain for them how could
it be done.
