LESSON 3: ACTIONS

I. Objectives

By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:

- Identify new words “Look/listen/speak/sing/ draw/colour”


- Understand the word and do actions
II. Procedure

Content Procedure
1. Greeting and - Ask and answer: What’s your name? How are you today?
warm-up - Watch video “Hokey pokey”, “Make a circle” and dance with the
(5mins) song
2. Review - Review Story : Describe the picture and ask Ss to name the
(20mins) objects in the pictures.
- Listen to the story again do actions.
- Play a game: Hot Potato.
Rule: Use a ball. Ask Ss to sit in a circle. T plays the music and
Ss pass the ball to the friends sitting next to them. When T stops
the music, the student holding the ball have to answer T’s
questions.
Break time (5 mins)
3. Actions - Pre-teach:
(20 mins) + Ask Ss to talk about some actions
+ Present actions: look, listen, speak
+ T does TPR
- Listen and trace
+ Play the recording and let students listen only.
+ Explain words if students don’t understand.
+ Play the recording again.
+ Ask students to speak along with the actions (look, listen,
speak)
- Game: throw the ball
+ Ask Ss go to the board
+ T say 1 actions “Look/speak/listen”
+ Ss throw the sticky ball to the correct FC will have
point/star
Break time (5mins)
Actions - Pre-teach:
(30mins) + Ask Ss to talk about some actions
+ Present actions: “Sing/draw/color”
+ T does TPR
- Listen and trace
+ Play the recording and let students listen only.
+ Explain words if students don’t understand.
+ Play the recording again.
+ Ask students to speak along with the actions
(Sing/draw/color)

- Game : Ring the bell


+ Have 2 Ss , T do the action and Ss guess
+ Who ring the bell faster and have correct answers will win
and roll the dice. T give stars

Wrap-up Clean up, reward and goodbye.
