CLASS OVERVIEW:
Bienveindos a Espaol 3! En esta clase vamos a hablar solamente en
Espaol y nos mejoraremos nuestro Espaol.
In this class students will be focusing on our communication and listening skills, writing
ability, and also grammar skills. By solely speaking Spanish to me and also to one
another students will increase their knowledge and foundations in the Spanish
Language. Being in an advanced Spanish class, students have now opened the doors
to the world of Spanish and Latin cultures and traditions. While meeting the New York
State Common Core State Standards students will flourish in leer, escribir, escuchar,
y hablar.

MATERIALS:

Notebook/ binder
Pen/pencil
Realidades textbook
Spanish/English pocket dictionary

GRADING:
Exit Slips
10%
-Exit slips will be the haz ahora collected DAILY at the end of the period
Homework
15%
-Homework will be given out on a daily basis and checked
Tests/Quizzes
40%
-Quizzes will be given weekly and chapter tests will be given after
every chapter (Every 3
weeks)
In-Class Participation/ attendance

35%

-Participation points will be graded based on language used (NO


SPANISH), and also no cutting
class
Extra help: Extra help for test/quiz make-up, extra work help, or after school
detention will be on every Tuesday at 3:30pm in room 213.

No Phones!
All translating questions can be answered by myself or other classmates. Google
translate will give incorrect answers. If students are seen using phones it will be
taken away.
Respect everyone in the classroom!
R-E-S-P-E-C-T, show everyone in the classroom, including myself, respect and
treat them the way you would want to be treated. This including giving them your
attention when they are speaking/presenting to the class, and respect their
belongings.
Be punctual!
Class starts when the bell rings, first lateness is a warning, second and third
student will have to come in for a lunch detention, and the fourth will be a call
home. Class will end when the bell rings, not before.
Participate!
The one key to learn another language is to Practice and Participate!
