Student recognized for Lipscomb Universitys National Scholastic

Honorary Society
About 100 students attending Lipscomb University are being awarded as a result of their
leadership and impact on campus.
Nashville, TN - (September 4, 2015) - This year, Lipscomb University is recognizing 100
students on their campus for exceeding academic, leadership and service achievements on their
campus. A native of our community, Stephanie Schiraldi, who majors in Journalism, has been
inducted into this prestigious National Scholastic Honorary Society.
The Honors College at Lipscomb University chooses each of these undergraduates to recognize
their hard work and commitment in their academic life and community. Once the students are
selected, the National Scholastic Honorary Society provides them with career, leadership and
service opportunities. Along with this, scholarships are also given as resources to guiding them
towards success.
The National Scholastic Honorary Societys inductees represent the characteristics of a student
who uphold leadership, servant and academic responsibilities. Each of these young professionals
also maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher in their academic courses.
The Honors College takes part in this opportunity for Lipscomb students to challenge
themselves educationally and personally to better prepare them for their future careers by giving
them scholarships and resources to fulfill these expectations, says Paul Prill, the Director of the
Honors College.
