the Census Bureau, the Bet­
ter Business Bureau (BBB)

the following factoids about
the 2010 census:
• The U.S. Census Bu­
reau will not send email
messages to obtain or verify
information or to solicit do­
nations
• Census workers will
not begin going door-to-door
until April. The campaign
will end in July.
• Field representatives
will never ask for your So­

it card numbers.
• The information re­
quests will be in the form of
10 simple questions relating
to name, gender, age, race,
ethnicity and home owner­
ship. Your answel"/l are pro­
tecied by law and (lOt shared
with anyone outside of the
Census Bureau.
• Citizens are required
by law to respond to the cen­
sus information requests.
The data collected is used in
allocation of federal funds
and in determining each
state's Congressional repre­
sentation.
