Who made the Greater Impact in Canada?

Between Hadfield and Shatner, both very


influential men having much to do with outer
space, Shatner is the most influential.

Hadfield
Harbored a life-long interest in flight, starting from age 15.
As an Air Cadet he started flying at 15, being awarded glider

and powered pilot scholarships at age 16 to the first


Canadian Commander of the ISS
Throughout life, he was awarded Honorary Doctorate of
Laws from Trent University and Honorary Doctorate of
Engineering from the Royal Military college.
He became immortalized and commemorated when the
Royal Canadian Mint made specially minted coins
commemorating Hadfield's CanadArm2 space walk.

Shatner
Inspired Hadfield into taking an interest in outer

space.
Won a plethora of awards regarding his acting,
including Best Actor, Worst Actor, The Life Career
Award, Worst Director, another Best Actor, Worst
Screeplay and finally three more Best Actor awards.
So well-skilled in his field that his influence spread
world-wide, earning him the prestigious Life-time
achievement award from NASA, the highest award a
Civi can receive from NASA.

Conclusion
Chris succeeded on a national basis, but his famed
deadened at our borders. He won many awards and
honors across Canadian Academies and organizations.
Shatner acted his way to fame, starring in the
extremely popular Star Trek series before continuing
to other, less known acting ventures having to do with
TV shows and movies.
