Artificial Trees

Lilyanna M. Rea
Windsor High School, Innovation STEM, Poseidon

Ozone Depletion
Causes:
Carbon dioxide emission = 77% of greenhouse gasses
Burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, waste removal, ect.
Effects:
Skin cancer, cataracts, skeletal cancer, ect.
crop mutation
harm marine life

Photosynthesis
The only known way to filter CO2 out of
the air
Natural process of trees and plants
Converts carbon dioxide and water into
oxygen and glucose

Process:

6CO2 + 6H2O + (Solar energy) = C6H12O6 + 6O2

Artificial Trees
A small cubic system
Tubes of water and carbon dioxide with
a drip
Fibers under the tube to hold the
glucose to be collected later
Solar panel on top as energy source

Effects of artificial trees

Less greenhouse gasses in
atmosphere ruining the ozone
Ozone repair itself over time
Rates of illnesses would decrease
Healthy crop production
Healthy marine life
More glucose for medical uses
