Course Description:
In this new and advanced course the understanding of wetland functioning, efficient
planning and monitoring of wetlands are emphasised by using a catchment-based
approach. Exciting practical fieldwork sessions enable participants to apply their newly
acquired knowledge and develop skills infield. The main focus areas include;
identification, classification and delineation of wetlands, wetland processes and
functioning and the legal framework for wetland management.
