1. What does fluidity mean? Give an example?
a. Fluidity means the way something flows. I think a good example
of a fluidity of a genre would be a sentence or paper that constantly flows.
2. Yes, I might have to come up with scenarios in order to make an example for
employees or customers.
3. The characteristics of a genre are the purpose, audience, word choice, and length.
4. The conventions of a report are statistics, rules, steps, background information,
results, quotes, and opinions.
5. The different tones that can be found in an argument genre are serious, sarcastic,
humorous, or persuasive. These tones can be used based off of the audience. Basing the
tone off of the audience would help to get the argumentative points across.
