The Michigan State University Archery Team will host the 35th USA Archery Collegiate Indoor Championships from February 27-March 1 at their Demmer Center facility. Five schools will send archers to compete, with MSU featuring 18 competitors who will each shoot 60 arrows over three days for a possible score of 600. Scores from this and other competitions will determine individual and national champions in four disciplines. MSU's head coach expects top ten finishes from some of their talented archers, including three who placed top ten nationally last year.

National Championship The Michigan State University Archery Team will be hosting the 35th USA Archery Collegiate Indoor Championships February 27, 28, March 1. Five schools will make their way to the Demmer Center, 4830 East Jolly Rd, Lansing MI, on the campus of MSU to show off their skills against the best collegiate archers in the country. Michigan State will feature 18 competitive archers. Each participant will shoot 60 arrows for a possible score of 600. Scores from this weekend will then be combined with four other shoots around the country to determine a national champion. Individual champions will also be crowned in four different disciplines. We have a lot of talent on this team, said head coach Glen Bennett. I am expecting a few top-ten finishes. Last year, MSU had four shooters place in the top ten nationally. Three of those shooters are competing this year. MSU will also have four All-Americans in this competition. A total of 50 competitors from schools like Purdue University, and Case Western University are expected to attend. Shooting will begin at 1 PM on all three days and is expected to last three hours. The Michigan State Archery Teams purpose is to introduce the sport of archery to interested students and to provide opportunities for those students to compete at the collegiate level.
