Your portfolio constitutes evidence of your work and growth over the past semester related
to educating exceptional and diverse learners in a general education classroom. Please
review your portfolio for the following:
My Portfolio has (please circle) all/most/some/few of the assigned Accountabilities and
Graphic Organizers for articles. In reviewing the work I produced this semester I have
learned about my own preferred learning style I have learned that
I tend to lean towards powerpoints. I think this is because I am used to making
powerpoints for other courses and I feel like its the way I am able to incorporate the most
information from the text the best. I also learned that I like graphic organizers and games. I really
like the visual of graphic organizers and how the information is displayed. I also had a lot of fun
making games.
I see my own growth in professional learning of the courses content by reviewing specific
pieces from my portfolio. Pieces I have chosen to show my growth include (indicate why
chose and what learned):
I think pieces that have showed growth are chapter 2 & 6 strategy cards, graphic
organizers (chapter 7&9), and the prezis from additional accountabilities. I think the graphic
organizers and strategy cards showed growth because Ive never used those types of technology
before so it allowed me to learn another way to present information. I included Chapter 2 & 6
because I learned about RTI and practices to help increase a students success, which I didnt
really know anything about before this class.
One Area of course content that I feel particularly strong in
is______________________.Why? What evidence do you have of this growth?
I dont think I would consider myself particularly strong in this area but I learned so
much about Differentiated Instruction. I actually had no idea what it was before this class. I think
the Soup & Salad was evidence that I have grown in this area because if I had to create lesson
plans before this class, I would have had no idea where to begin and no idea how to reach
students who were below or above grade level.
One Area of course content that I feel I need to develop a better understanding of
is_______________. Why? How can you improve your skills in this area?
Although I have learned so much during this class, I definitely have a lot more to learn
about what weve covered in class. One area that I think I definitely need to improve on is
making sure that I have a thorough understanding of the laws. I think I can improve these skills
by reading through the text in our book again and committing the laws to memory. This will help
me be a better resource for future students.

I chose the strategy cards from chapter 2 &6 as an example of my best work. I feel as
though I was able to incorporate a lot of information from the text into this accountability. I also
provided examples of a progress monitoring chart and an advanced organizer.

I wish to trash Differentiating Instruction and Assessment for all Learners because I feel
as though I kind of rushed through it and could have added more information.

added examples and pictures to make it more engaging.
