Dear Alice,

My friend wont stop texting and driving.

I myself know how dangerous it is. It was not
a problem with me until I was educated on the
dangers of distracted driving. I carpool with her all
the time because I have yet to recieve my license.
Everytime I look over she is on her phone. There
have been times when we have almost wrecked
because of her wreckless behavior. I do not want
to lose our friendship or more importantly our
lives because of her poor choices. How do I get
the message across to her? How do I get her to
stop before she really hurts us and the people who
ride with her?
-Scared for my life
Editors note: : If you would like Alices advice on a topic, give a letter to
Mrs. Carlisle. All letters must be signed, although they may appear unsigned in
the newspaper.

lice
Dear Scared for my life,

I feel the best way to get the point across to

your friend will be to educate her on the dangers
of texting and driving. There are good statistics on
page six that can help you get the point across.
Another option you could try is sitting your
friend down with a parent or a trusted adult and
let her know how much her actions are scaring
you.. Your friend might not listen at first until she
realizes how serious you are. Remind her you only
have her best interest at heart and how severe the
consequences may be. If all else fails; protect yourself. Find another carpool buddy.
Good luck!

-Sincerely Alice
