If you were to cook a romantic meal

Where Im From
I am from a tire swing in the backyard, with a rusty rope,
homemade tortillas, and sweet tea
I am from picking up sticks (before mowing) then putting the
sticks back
I am from the sweet, crisp smell of the backyard after a long,
hard rain
I am from the Western Oklahoma wind that can be a joy or a
God awful nightmare

Steak, mash potatoes,

roll, dip, and I would make
it romantic.
-Madison Fuentez, so.

I am from Sunday dinners and Land of the Lost marathons

and the Sims nose
from Michael Ramirez and Pamela Sue
ambition is a dream with a v8 engine

From Nana who asks Are you hungry? as soon as you walk
through the door
From Mom and Dad who knew what they were doing when
raising me
From Uncle Toby who had a passion for soccer, but ended up
having a family and playing pick-up games in Nanas backyard
From Aunt Toni, and Karrin who have the craziest laughs of
the family
From the Johnsons where giving advice is god given to them
Aside the arguements, disagreements, and head butts
We still gather at the table, and laugh about all of it
Because we are family, making memories, and enjoying each
others company
Thats where I am from

Dear Alice,

I broke up with my ex boyfriend a couple

months ago. We dated for a year and one month.
I cant get him to leave me alone. I feel like I am
being harassed by him with texts, calls, and run-ins.
I am too nice of a person and need help getting
him to leave me alone. Ive recently started seeing
a new guy, but I havent accepted any of his dates,
because Im afraid my ex will suddenly show up . I
feel I cant start anything new with him, until I cut
off my ex for good. Im scared if he doesnt learn
to leave me alone soon, things are going to get
out of hand, and hes going to become even more
stalker-like. How can I get the point across to him?

Dear New member,

I believe your best bet is to break all ties with

your ex boyfriend. Calmly tell him that there is no
longer anything between you two. Let him know
that youre not interested anymore and that he
should move on.
If at first he doesnt get the message, kindly, then
you must lay your foot down. You might end up
hurting his feelings, but its better to end something
that is no longer there, than to let this situation
drag on. cgfDont let your ex boyfriend get in your
new love life. You will never be able to move on if
