1. Who is your intended audience? Describe your audience in detail.

Why did you choose

this particular audience for this project?
My intended audience for this project was undergraduate college students seeking to learn more
about how impactful music is. I chose this particular audience because my purpose of this project
was to inform. By targeting this audience I was able to use pop culture references to gain their
attention and I also have a good understanding of how to make a lesson memorable.
2. What is your purpose for sharing this topic: to inform, to persuade, to express yourself,
or to entertain? Why did you decide upon this purpose?
I chose to inform my audience by creating this project. I chose this purpose because I felt like it
was the most in line with my topic. My topic is uncovering how music affects the brain. The
purpose of this topic is the audience has no understanding of the different ways their brain get
impacted instead they will learn all about that after the project. When I fist started learning about
music I was fascinated about the different ways music impacts the world on a daily basis and I
thought my audience would share the same interest.
3. What is your genre idea, and why did you decide upon this specific method for sharing
your topic? Why do you feel this was the most effective way to share your EIP findings?
My genre idea was to create a PowerPoint. I chose this genre because my purpose of the project
is to inform. I chose PowerPoint because as a student I know how boring PowerPoints get. So I
wanted to be able to take an interesting material like music to make a dull canvas for information
(PowerPoint) interesting and fun. I feel like this is the most effective way to share my EIP
writings because I have a wide range of aspects I want to show about music and each slide
allows me to change the topic.
