Whole Life Concepts Paper Reflection

The Whole Life Concepts Paper was an assignment tasked for

engineering 1201 students. The purpose of these essays was to
describe your passion and state how it ties with engineering. Overall I
disliked this assignment because of the grading policies. After turning
the rough draft of my paper, my professor stated what I had written
down was not a passion. I find it highly frustrating that the graders are
given the ability to dictate what an individuals passions are. In order
to get a good grade for this assignment I was just supposed to write
about what the professors wanted to hear. So I chose a vague passion,
design, and just applied it to engineering in every which way. I found it
difficult to write this paper because I felt I was lying to myself. Design
was never my passion; I ended up choosing it due to its easiness to
correlate with engineering. This essay felt completely different from
the papers I wrote in UWRIT because I was not writing from my heart.
