Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 1986 defines:

affects inter state or foreign commerce .

An Internet forum, or message board, is an online


discussion site where people can hold
conversations in the form of posted messages.

Forums are web applications that manage user


generated content.

A forum is hierarchical or tree-like in structure: forum

Here, people with common interest share ideas

Main purpose of a forum is to exchange open messages

Forums

also tend to create bonds between members.

Most forums are governed by general codes of conduct


which are guarded by moderators.
Forum software is freely available (phpBB,SFM)

Blogs are found on the Internet.

The term blog is short for web log.

A blog is a series of entries, or posts created by someone, stored in


chronological order, are searchable, and allows readers to comment on
your content.

The first blogger was a man named Dave Winer and his blog
Scripting News has been in existence since 1994; you can find it at
www.scripting.com

A social networking service is an online service, or website


that focuses on building and reflecting of social
relations among people.
These people are connected through same interest or
networks.
Most social network services are web-based and provide
means for users to interact over the Internet, such as email and instant messaging.

Social networking can be done mainly in 3 ways :

1. Social Networking Websites

2. Instant Messaging Services

3. Video Calling

A bulletin board ( pin board, or noticeboard, ) is a surface intended for


the posting of public messages, for example, to advertise items wanted
or for sale, announce events, or
provide information.
Internet forums replacement for traditional bulletin boards.
Online bulletin boards are sometimes referred to as message boards.
The terms bulletin board, message board and even Internet forum are
interchangeable, although often one bulletin board or message board
can contain a number of Internet forums or discussion groups. An online
board can serve the same purpose as a physical bulletin board.

A webinar is conference, meeting, or presentation conducted on


the Internet .
