Movie Critique
Overview:
For your final culminating project, you are required to complete five different activities
from the various topics. All of the activities demonstrates different acquired learning
from throughout this course. This activity falls under the topic of Profession of Faith.
Specific Expectations:
PFV: Explain the identity of Jesus as the Incarnate word of God, and the importance of
this teaching for the Christian faith, and how it makes sacred all that is human
PFV: describe Mary as a model of discipleship
PFV: Consider how religious faith is shaped by human experience
Task:
Films play a large role in our society, many of these films demonstrate connections to
the Bible. For this activity, you are to watch The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, or
the Lion King. Once done watching the film, answer the following questions in a two
page response:
1. What sacraments are present within the film? How are they displayed? (3 marks)
2. What virtues are present in the film? (5 marks)
3. What analogies are present? What do the characters, events, relationships, and
symbols all represent in relation to the Catholic faith? (10 marks)
4. How do the main characters change throughout the film? Focus on their virtues,
and personality traits (making connection to mental wellness, wholeness of a
person, and virtues). (10 marks)

Create a movie critique 2 pages, double-spaced, 12-point font, times new
roman
