1 Boolean Algebra
It was introduced by George Boole in his first book The
Mathematical Analysis of Logic (1847).
Boolean logic has been fundamental in the development
of digital electronics and is provided for in all modern
programming languages. It is also used in set theory and
statistics.
2 Compiler
The FORTRAN team lead by John Backus at IBM is
generally credited as having introduced the first compete
compiler in 1957.
3 First Mechanical Computer
Charles Babbage conceptualised and began developing
the difference engine in 1822, considered to be the first
automated computing machine.
4 John Van Neumann proposed the ALU concept in 1945.
Many modern ALUs have wide word size and architectural
enhancement such as binary multiplier.
5 Stored Program Computer
Invented by John Van Neumann and Alan Turing.
The programming process could be facilitated if the
program could be represented in a form suitable for
storing in memory alongside the data.
6 RAM (Random Access Memory)
Invented by Robert Dennard in 1968. Random-access memory is
a form of computer data storage.

It led the computer scientists toward the modern

9 Laptop
Adam Osborne invented the first laptop. It was called
Osborne 1.
10Supercomputer
The first ATLAS was commissioned on 7th December 1962
by Seymour Cray.
