    Duringherspecialeducationexperience,Ms.Olivawasresponsiblefordesigningcurriculumfollowing
    CommonCoreStandardswhilealsotargetingIndividualizedEducationProgramneeds.Shewas
    responsibleforwritingandimplementingrigorousbutscaffoldedlessonstosupportadiversestudent
    population.Ms.Olivaworkedhardtotaskanalyzelessonsandanticipatelearningdisadvantages,havinga
    backupplanforadjustinglessonsasneeded.Additionally,Ms.Olivaassessedstudentsacademic
    achievementusingnationallynormedassessments.Shecollecteddataandwrotepresentlevelsof

    supportiveeartoteacherswithstudentconcernsandofferedsuggestionsorworkedwiththemtofind
    resolutions.SheparticipatedinIEPmeetings,parentteacherconferencesandmadecallsforbothpositive
    anddisciplinereasonstoparents.

    Ms.Olivahasalottocontributetothelearningcommunity.Sheofferedmanyideasandsuggestionsfor
    curriculumresources,websitesforstudentsandteachers,unitplanideasandwaystoincludemotion,visual
    aidsandmanipulativesintolessonsforbothgeneralandspecialeducationteachers.Shecontributedto
    professionallearningcommunities(PLCs)weekly.ShewrotegoalsandcollecteddatatosupportPLCgoals.
    SheworkedcollaborativelywithcolleaguesinPLCmeetingstofindsolutionsornewmethodsofapproachto
    teachingstudentswithdeficits.
