The Daisies Project

Dear Parent/Guardian(s),
Our names are Breanna Cella and Lily Dinnell, and we are excited to announce that for our Senior Project
in our English class, we decided to work with middle school girls on various activities and important
topics. We are going to be launching our project at your daughters school on Wednesday, January 13th.
We are calling our project, Daisies, and our goal for our project is to teach girls how to love, respect, and
value themselves and others as well. We chose the 6th graders because they will be entering junior high
next year, a prime point where research points that many girls seem to struggle. We will be doing crafts,
snacks, and a lesson at each meeting. Hopefully more friendships will form and the girls will have fun:)
We will have an adult in the room that has passed background checks with the school. We will be meeting
in the Media Center until 4:30 pm, once a month from January - May. Thank you in advance for your

January 13th- Introduction Day:No topic today. Will be decorating sugar cookies
February 3rd- Self Image
March 2nd- Respecting others & Showing love
April 6th- Self respect/ How we present ourselves
May 4th- Party - Cupcakes and fruit punch will be provided.
