Performance Critique
For one of my critiques, I saw Millbrook High School choir perform their
winter concert. Overall, their choir sounded really good. They had all kinds of
different music, from secular to non-secular. The different parts blended together
nicely. The parts had beautiful, distinguishable tones. However there werent as
many consonants as there could have been. The tenors were really good. They
werent screechy like they usually are, and they sounded beautiful. The men in
general sang a beautiful song about the life of a soldier, and they all sat on the
risers, which added dramatic effect. Before they sang the song, one of the men
quoted General McArthur. The girls were really good as well, however some
pushed too hard, and others were under pitch, but they did have good consonants.
Overall, this was a really fun show, and all of the singers were really good and you
could tell they were having fun.
