Job purpose
To prepare and implement healthy meals appropriate for children ages 2.5 to 12 years
old.
Duties and responsibilities
Prepare and implement healthy meals appropriate for children ages 2.5 to 12 years old.
Supervise and coordinate duties of assistant cook(s).
Assist in preparing weekly center menu.
Maintain inventory of supplies.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
All applications must be age 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
All applicants must be able to secure a negative Tuberculosis test and a clean DHS
Central Registry Clearance.
Experience in food preparation and handling required.
Working conditions
This job requires handling utensils and implements, some of which may be sharp, and
working with potentially hazardous chemicals such as bleach sanitizing solutions. Duties
of this job will also involve being around hot and cold temperatures and steam and
moisture areas.
Physical requirements
This job requires standing for extended periods of time, as well as physical tasks such as
stooping, squatting and lifting.
