Kellyville tonight kickstarted the season

with a convincing 6-0 win over the old enemy Castle Hill.
The catch up game from Round 3 was played on
the wide spaces of Fred Caterson and needed the
Blacks to show up ready to work....they did that and
more!
A sharp warm up and the will to start quick was
the way the Blacks like to get into matches. Castle Hill
had to chase from the start as the Blacks movement
and passing was sharp. Any turnover in possession was
met with the Blacks closing down players across the
park seeking to get the ball back quickly.
The first goal came after a turnover on the half
way...a ball to Vic who played in Doriano for a one on
one chance. Doz placing his left footed finish into the
bottom corner.
It didnt take too long to find a second.....
redemption being the key word as the super striker
from last weekend...Noons.... lined up the end that
puts goals on our tally....and struck a volley from a
metre out, after a scramble in the box following a
corner. 2-0 at the break.
The break didnt slow the Blacks as they didnt
shirk the work. Some outstanding ball movement
during the second half as Dame pulled the strings at
the back.
The third saw Jaime and Vic combine in the box
and lay o to Minol - the top corner being found from
the edge of the area.
The fourth came after Trev picked o a pass on
half way, ran a thousand yards, and played a ball onto
the big melon of Vic. 4-0.

NEXT MATCH
v Toongabbie

A fifth was finished by Doz after as he beat the

oside trap and ran onto a nice ball from Vic. Doz
finishing in style (as usual!) as he touched right around
the keeper, ran left around him and proceeded to tap
into the empty net...nice.
The final (and obviously most important) came
from the lethal combination of Thommo and Trev.
Thommo playing into Trevs feet, who turned and
played in Thommo overlapping.... avery cool finsh
under the keeper and the scoring was complete.
A 6- 0 win earned on the back of a big work rate
from all. Dame, Adam, Noon, Bunny, Trev and
Thommo controlled the back and ensured Nolan was
limited to literally having to make one save. Minol and
Jaime worked overtime in the centre of the park and
must have had a thousand touches each! Bunny and
Donny split the right midfield each half and both gave
them massive headaches on the right. Dan ran the left
expertly early until an injury. Doz and Vic (...and Vlad
for the 79th and 80th minutes) held up ball, made runs
and most importantly were the first line of defence as
everybody worked hard together.
A couple of important notes from the
match...Minol 80 minutes?!, Donny...first 40 minutes
of the season, Bunny 2 games in a row!, Vic desperate
to work on his fitness and filthy at being replaced by
Vlad, Doz falling in a rabbit hole trying to shoot....and
Adam confused in the pre-game talk when Vlad
suggested no wandering from centre back...What
does he mean???
Lots of sore muscles afterwards..but damn it felt
good to put in, get a good result and then look to the
next one....the season is now underway!
