Kellyville Black played away at the postage

stamp that Baulkham Hills use as their home
ground.

The size of the ground brought out the skills and the
smarts within the Kolts squad. The opening half saw
some of the quickest and skillful football out of the
Kolts squad thus far this season.
With very little room the choice of short and long
passing was exceptional across the park. Baulkham
Hills (despite what they thought) were not within a
bulls roar of the Kolts. The patient football was again
on show as the half chances were just confirmation to
the lads of the dominance they had in the game and
that the goals would come...
The first coming after 25 minutes as Naya for the
upteenth time got free on the right and looked up
from the byline. He cleverly played a ball in that Trev
thought he might reach but couldnt...instead creating
a dummy that fell to Jaime....who duly flicked it up
and volleyed in from the edge of the area.
Soon after the second went in as Naya ran onto a nice
through ball and then proceeded to do some step
overs that Basil Fawlty would be proud of...as
everybody fell about laughing Minol ran in and
finished neatly at the far post. (Minol and Vic giving
the Kolts a forward line that made any ball forward
look good, as they filled the spaces up front!).
As halftime drew closer, Adam, who along with Dame,
Fewelly and Stonie was dominating the Baulko
forwards, decided to drill a back pass to Nolan from
the edge of the area. The ref recognising that the
Kolts skills were top shelf and they could produce
every pass under the sun, determined it was a back
pass. The Kolts advising the ref they may have

thought otherwise, soon thought otherwise over

advising him as he flashed his card. The resulting free
kick was thankfully...rubbish!
The second half produced a dierent kind of
quality...the squad that had done all the attacking had
to play tight football as a defensive tactic. It was very
much a case of the best form of defence is attack. The
tight football and possession ramped up as Baulko
tried to lift their game - the Kolts equal to the task as
they outperformed the direct Baulko.
Jez getting into challenges washard done by as he was
brought down and somehow managed to get sent as a
result.
The Kolts then lifted again and swiftly scored as Rich
found Vic (another assist!) and Vic then stepped
through what seemed like 11 players to finish under
the keeper - it was an outstanding run and deserved a
goal.
The touches across the park were the football that
this squad aims to play. Dame (the match of the man)
was combining with his backline and midfield over
and over. Fewelly, Adam and Noons won ball after ball
that wasnt missed by anyone. The backline and Nolan
having another well earned cleansheet.
The best touch of the half being Vic as he held the ball
on the right wing with 3-4 Baulko players unable to get
it o him for close to a minute....he then layed o to
Donny, who ran into and through the same players,
totally demoralising them!
Everybody played well and results have again gone our
way...next two games are against the two sides running
equal second - time to finish it!
