time...

go full boar!

Time stands still for no man.....

...until you head to Lidcombe for a
game!
The early kick off turned out to be a ruse
from Vlad, to get the boys together to spend
time bonding. With kick off shifted to 3,
Adam had time to go home and insert the
thumb back into his forward, Naya headed
home for a sleep and Jaime hit the toilet in
the sheds...and the walls, floor, door...
Fox and Al sampled the tea, while the
rest turned into a human sun dial, chasing
the sun waiting for kick off.
The game produced some outstanding
football. Noons stepped into the centre back
and worked with Dame to guide the shape

off by changing the game to a day
earlier - a Friday night match to start the
world cup a masterstroke.
The old enemy Castle Hill, put together a
structured game, hoping to contain the
movement of the Kolts....which they did to
some effect, but offered nothing in attack and anything that looked like half a chance
was squashed by Dame and a crook Fewelly
(big effort).
Minol, Vic and Dave combining up front
throughout the match in pairs. Castle Hill sat
deep and tried to stop the ball finding feet
but Kellyville had combinations going and
created plenty of chances....

...and set the tempo for the game.

Lidcombe tried to go with the Kolts, but
couldnt match the cut and thrust, so took to
cutting and thrusting in defence!
Donny set Minol free for the first...after
both spent time bamboozling the Lidcombe
defence - the combination of strength and skill
who
on the ball unstoppable!
Naya woke to drive a cross into Dave who
volleyed from the six yard box. The brilliantly
driven cross matched with a strong run across
the defender and perfectly timed volley!

The second half saw the Kolts pile on the

pressure with Minol grabbing a second and
Donny being repaid with a goal for his hard
work.
The shock of the day was not the time, but
rather the coaching genius of a little italian,
who was injured! He gave the bench a new
look and sound, with arm waving to make a
clock proud....and pretty sure at one point of
his tweeking, he actually swapped Naya with
Naya and got him to change and run a little
more like Naya!!!

...a ball to Vics feet providing him a

chance to turn and drill a shot into the back
of the net - Castle Hill players left spinning like
tops by the turn and power!
Harry broke a land speed record to get to
the game, making it just before halftime. Dan
also putting in a big effort, only to break
down in the warm up! - two perfect
candidates to cook the bbq! (Harry probably
a touch unlucky in the man of the match vote,
with the more flashy Dan grabbing the
votes, despite the hard work of the little man!)

The game found another goal, with

somebody drilling a shot against the cross bar
and Minol following in with brilliant striker
instinct to finish neatly inside the far post.
Only a 2-0 win, but the creativity and
ideas are happening and the combinations
are beginning to click across the entire park.
Congrats to Nolan and the back line for
another clean sheet.
Next week a chance to clean sweep the
other teams and to put place the round 1
result.
