INTRODUCTION
A security alarm is a warning device that signals the occurrence of some desirable
event which gives an audible, visual or other form of alarm signal about a problem or
condition. In addition, it is an alarm-initiating device or assembly of equipment that
automatically detects heat, smoke, or other products of combustion or need of other
public safety or emergency response. There are many types of alarm system nowadays
such as civil defense siren, fire alarm systems, car alarms, auto-dialer alarms, personal
alarms and many more. In relation with our subject, Logic Circuits, we are asked to make
a prototype of an alarm system using circuit design and integrated circuits. It is a system
designed to detect object or person that may intrude or enter a certain door in any
building, room or facility. It also sends signal or indicator to the facilitator that a specific
door is opened or closed.

OBJECTIVES
After this project, we will be able:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

To understand the purpose of alarm systems;

To use the previous Seven-Segment Display experiment;
To design a desired housing with ideal doors for actual application of the project;
To show how the alarm system will work in 4-door housing;
And to perform smoothly the project with no aberrations.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This experiment requires us to make an alarm system with the use of SevenSegment Display from the previous experiment. It wants to show how the system will
signal the owner or facilitator when any of the doors are open or close. It will also show
the number of the doors open.

CONCLUSION
Having an alarm system in a house can be really useful and it can be
made possible by having sufficient knowledge about logic circuits. The

number of doors that can have an alarm depends on the seven segment. It can
